A huge congratulations to @robynmunt134 for passin A huge congratulations to @robynmunt134 for passing her Equine Assisted services level 3 diploma. Robyn started with us as a volunteer, then was a Saturday girl and then did her apprenticeship with us. Once completed she set up her own business and has just achieved so much!! Well done Robyn we are so proud of you!!! 💙
Our last competitor for the day was Amelia on Brun Our last competitor for the day was Amelia on Bruno in the unled walk and trot class. Amelia did such a good job on Bruno and he really looks after her in that huge arena. It was super hot by this point too but both horse and rider absolutely smashed it coming out with 5th place in their huge class. Congratulations Amelia and Bruno. 💙
Next up was Renae and Bruno in the countryside cha Next up was Renae and Bruno in the countryside challenge. Renae gave him a fantastic ride, even when he was trying to eat the bushes and sniff the flour on the floor that created the stop line. Bruno always makes us laugh. They did a super job and came 4th in their class. Well done Renae and Bruno 💙
Day 2 of the RDA National Championships and first Day 2 of the RDA National Championships and first up was Ava on Bruno for an unled walk and trot test. Both Ava and Bruno did an absolutely fantastic job to finish 2nd in a huge class so hats off to them both. Well done 💙
Last up on day 1 was Renae on Bruno in the costume Last up on day 1 was Renae on Bruno in the costume dressage to music class. Like the best turned out this is a huge team effort to get us here with lots of work behind the scenes. Thank you to Debbie price who made Bruno’s fantastic costume, Hayley who coached Renae and drew up the floor plan and Clare who put the music together. Also a huge thank you to Lauren who stepped in on the day to come into the arena and Beth who had to learn the test in 3 days and Louise P and Ione who did a great job in the Chinese dragon costume. Thank you so much to everyone for all coming together for this and a huge well done to Renae for such brilliant riding. It’s a huge thing to go into that big international arena. There’s lots of people watching and the music really gets you. Renae and Bruno were both absolute superstars and came back with third place. Well done. 💙
Then it was a huge team effort to prepare Earl and Then it was a huge team effort to prepare Earl and his riders for the Best Turned Out class. Marks are given for how clean your tack is, how clean and smart the pony is and how well turned out the rider is. Everyone that knows Earl knows he likes to be as dirty as possible most of the time but thankfully there were no muddy fields to roll in beforehand and he didn’t make our jobs too hard. Well done to the whole team that worked so hard to make this happen and to the riders. Shaun got a fifth place in the junior riders and Ami got second place in the senior riders. 💙
Next we had Shaun on Bruno doing a walk and trot t Next we had Shaun on Bruno doing a walk and trot test this year and they pulled out a beautiful test and really made the judges smile when they asked who he was and he replied simply ‘I’m a human being’ 😂 he really concentrated and gave Bruno a lovely ride showing what you can achieve in the right setting. Shaun was in a massive class and came home with 4th place. How amazing is that!! We are all so proud of you Shaun… and of course Bruno 💙
Next up was Ami on Earl taking a step up this year Next up was Ami on Earl taking a step up this year doing a walk and trot test. Ami is a pro and was super chilled taking Earl for his very first go at the national champs. It’s a huge arena and a lot for a horse to deal with and he kept himself together throughout looking after Ami even if he got a bit distracted bless him. We were all so proud of what they both achieved and the more he does it the better they will get. The fact they got a 3rd place which is so absolutely amazing for them both is just the icing on the cake!!! Well done to Ami and Earl 💙
Day 1 of nationals championships and first up was Day 1 of nationals championships and first up was Netty riding Bruno in the countryside challenge. Netty has been riding with us since September. Wow you wouldn’t know it. To get to champs that quickly and then come second in her class is such a massive achievement. Well done netty. 💙
What a team and what a weekend. Thank you to every What a team and what a weekend. Thank you to everyone that gives up their time to come to this and works so hard to get us there. We couldn’t do it without you. Bruno and Earl were absolute superstars all weekend. Bruno never lets us down but this was Earls first experience of the Nationals and he just blew us away. The reception at Hartpury is a bit hit and miss and we were too busy to post results at the time but a full update will follow shortly. TEAM REACH!! 💙

💖 Our beautiful Annie needs us today 💖 Many of yo 💖 Our beautiful Annie needs us today 💖

Many of you will know Annie — our longest-serving horse here at REACH. For years she has patiently carried, comforted and brought joy to countless children, always with that cheeky sparkle in her eye that makes everyone fall in love with her. 🐴✨

Annie is truly one of a kind. She’s gentle, brilliant with the children, endlessly loving, and somehow always manages to remind us who’s really in charge with her mischievous personality! 💕

Today Annie went into hospital for a major operation. She will be staying there for the next four days, and understandably we are all feeling very anxious and hoping for the very best outcome for our special girl. ❤️

As a charity, this is the largest vet bill we have ever faced. Annie has given so much to so many families over the years, and if anyone feels able to help us support her through this difficult time, any contribution — no matter how small — would mean the world to us.

👉 Please donate here:

Most of all, we would love your good wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts for Annie today. Let’s show our wonderful girl just how loved she is. 🐴💖
Did you know….. 29th July is International Equine Did you know….. 29th July is International Equine Assisted services day! Why 29 July?
This date honours the legacy of Lis Hartel, the remarkable Danish rider who won two Olympic silver medals in 1952 and 1956 despite being paralysed by polio. She became the first woman to win an Olympic dressage medal and demonstrated to the world what determination, partnership with an equine, and belief in possibilities can achieve. Her achievements inspired generations and contributed to the development of therapeutic riding and Equine Assisted Services worldwide.

We particularly appreciate that Lis Hartel won a silver medal. While gold often symbolises a final victory, silver reminds us that growth is an ongoing journey. In Equine Assisted Services, our work is rarely about reaching a finish line. It is about helping people take the next step, overcome the next challenge, and discover new possibilities. In that sense, Lis Hartel’s story beautifully reflects the values at the heart of our field.
